OldUnreal
Launched around year 2000, the OldUnreal community and website founded by Jochen 'Smirftsch' Goerntz was a focused group around the first Unreal game from 1998 and hosts some classic downloads for mods, maps and other Unreal adjacent content. Around 2006, Smirftsch managed to sign an NDA with Epic Games in order to be able to make new community updates for the first Unreal, expanding modding and mapping features and adding new formats for 3d, 2d and audio files. As per a few years ago of writing this, OldUnreal has now expanded it's supported game updates to Unreal Tournament and more recently UT2004, which the full games are published for download through the website as per direct permission from Epic, meaning that Unreal (Gold), Unreal Tournament (99) and Unreal Tournament 2004 are no longer delisted.
